The concept of “Good” brings people to realize the concept of “Bad”. When people learn what is beauty, the concept of not beautiful arises. Being and nothingness produce each other. Easy and difficult creates each other. Long and short reveals each other. High and low supports each other. Front and back follows each other.

The Source acts without doing and teaches without speaking. He causes the movement of all things yet does not control them. He creates all things yet does not take them as his own. He nurtures all things and yet does not presume upon his abilities. He succeeds in his doings and yet does not dwell on his success.

Ideas and values are established by people, and value judgement come through comparisons.
